Stop Six Community COVID Myths and Facts - Traveling During the Pandemic- May 2022 For All Types of Travel INFORMATION Make sure you are up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines before travel. Do not travel if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive or are awaiting results of a COVID-19 test, or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19. If traveling within the U.S., check the current COVID-19 community level at your destination and stops along the way. If traveling to other countries, check on the requirement for entry and exit, and the status of COVID-19. If the COVID-19 Community Levels at your destination and along your route have high or medium risk, or if you are visiting someone who has compromised immunity, protect yourself with extra measures like wearing a mask. After you return from your trip, monitor yourself for COVID-19 symptoms and get tested if you have symptoms or fear that you may have been exposed. CDC recommends international travelers be fully vaccinated to provide themselves with the most protection possible. All non-immigrant, non-citizen air travelers to the U.S. must provide proof of full vaccination.
